Frequently Asked Questions
Q: When are you open?
A: We will be open 11/19 and 11/20 for pre-cut trees only. We will be open on 11/25 - 12/23 (or until we sell out) for pre-cut and choose-and-cut trees. Our hours are 9AM - 7PM on the weekends and 10AM - 7PM on the weekdays. Our choose-and-cut fields close at 4:00PM.
Q: What is considered appropriate attire when visiting your tree farm?
A: Due to the natural terrain of the landscape, we highly recommend wearing sneakers or hiking shoes while traversing the farm. Long pants are advisable, in addition to warm weather gear in the colder months (picking your perfect tree can be a lengthy process)!
Q: Can we bring our dog to your farm?
A: While we do welcome furry friends, we ask that pets remain tightly leashed and by your side the entire time they are on the property. If your dog does not like children/adults, to be touched by strangers (with the exception of service dogs), other dogs, loud noises, vehicles, or a busy atmosphere, then we recommend leaving your dog at home. There is no need to stress your pet and risk an adverse interaction! We kindly ask that you do not leave your dog unattended in your vehicle while you shop for your tree. Finally, please bring your own disposal bags to remove pet waste from the fields and roadways.
Q: How long does it take to grow a Christmas tree?
A: There are many factors that can affect the growth of an evergreen tree, including (but not limited to) nutrients in the soil, drainage of the land, pest damage, and available light. Trees usually grow about 12 inches per year; so, it takes approximately 6 years to achieve a 6ft tall tree.
Q: Can we tag our tree ahead of time?
A: Unfortunately, we do not offer pre-tagging services.
Q: Do you sell pre-cut Christmas trees?
A: We have many pre-cut trees available for sale during both daylight and evening hours.
Q: Do you sell live trees that we can plant in our yard after the Holiday Season?
A: We mostly grow live canaan fir trees in 5gal, 10gal, and 15gal pots for your post-season planting convenience. Please call ahead for this service.
Q: Do we need to bring our own saw/can we bring a chainsaw?
A: For liability purposes, we only allow the use of manual handsaws on our farm. We will provide these for you, and we ask that you do not bring your own chainsaw.
Q: Is there someone there who can cut the tree for us?
A: We always have a friendly staff member on hand to assist you in cutting your tree.
Q: Do you bale the trees and provide twine?
A: Yes! We provide complimentary baling services and twine.
Q: What types of trees are available at your farm?
A: We mostly grow canaan fir and serbian spruce, but you may find an occasional concolor fir or blue spruce on site. We will have balsam, fraser, and silver fir available in pre-cut varieties only.
